As an A&E nurse, you can expect to deal with different situations everyday. General responsibilities, however may include:

A&E Nurse Qualifications

To become an A&E nurse you first need to graduate from a Nursing and Midwifery Council approved university in one of the following specialties: child, adult, mental health or learning disabilities.

Once you have graduated as a registered nurse you will need to undertake a trainee placement in an Accident and Emergency ward in order to gain experience and understanding of the requirements of the job.

As an A&E nurse you are expected to have experience working in other fields of nursing. Previous work in similar areas of nursing like ITU nursing will greatly help you in this role.
